I've gotten far more use from Nextdoor than facebook. I generally use it to find local services for my house, and whenever I have, I have gotten better service and lower prices than when I went calling around myself. Excellent service, IMHO. The interface is a bit ... unpolished -- trying too hard to be polished? I only say that because of the high degree of polish I see elsewhere, but I guess that really isn't of that high of importance. I guess, in the end, I want all services to work like reddit & HN, minimal and usable, maximum text on screen.
