I had a slightly similar experience while taking antidepressants. The anxiety went completely away. That made me drive more recklessly (my parents and my wife began to dread taking a lift) and I contemplated getting a mistress. Of course, I did compensate for that, once I took note of the effects. But actually a certain level of anxiety is a good tool, and I went out of medication as soon as possible. I talked about my suspected Asperger syndrome with the psychiatrist, and she said "I could medicate you for that, but are you really sure you want to change?".
