I wouldn't dismiss logical reasoning this way either. But i think we are underestimating the power of analogies. Every abstraction is an analogy. A lot of higher math is generalizations (or recursive applications) of real-world , easy to understand analogies. It would be more fair to say that logical reasoning is a result of combining analogies.
