I don't know how to respond to such a comment, why say anything if you can just weasel out of it? You're saying he did something illegal. OK. As someone who frequents HN, you are no doubt aware that people "settle" without going to trial many times. Perhaps he did the math and figured it wasn't worth his time. See this for what it is: a divorce, without a legal marriage. She's pissed, he's just trying to move on.

I'd say the Lonsdale/Clougherty fiasco fits in that category (esp since it was thrown out), but the $40m settlement makes me think this wasnt just a "divorce." You know why? Because people, ESPECIALLY rich dudes, reaaaaaally hate giving away any money in divorce. Read the PDF. This was no marriage. If these allegations are true, Goguen is a pretty fucked up dude.
