How much time are you spending in php per request? I would think the time spent in PHP per request would be low compared to network latency and io.

How much time are you spending in php per request? I would think the time spent in PHP per request would be low compared to network latency and io.
- brianwawok 11y agoMost languages yes not PHP.
- RobAley 11y agoModern PHP is much more performant than it used to be, and more so than other similar higher level dynamic web languages. Unless you're doing something wrong (like using Wordpress) or something unusual, network, db, file io etc. will dwarf PHP time.
