Maybe we could start with structural reform (that improves social mobility) in areas where the government has already intervened on behalf of powerful incumbents. Here are a few examples that come to mind: --”Right to work” laws. These arguably forbid private parties from making mutually agreeable concessions[2]. --Anti Whistle-blower laws. Texas passed a bill criminalizing the photographing of private land[3] after a drone operator photographed a meat packing plant dumping waste into the trinity river[4]. --Protectionist mandates of various kinds[5]. --State Civil Asset Forfeiture laws[6] create bad incentives for the police.
