My statement wasn't clear. It's common for people to think they know better than the parents and that the best thing they can do for the kids is to take them away from their families. As another poster stated, such interventions institutionalize children. That's what I meant. If it were as simple as "oh, you shouldn't raise your own kids" the current school system would have done its job.
