Thanks for "systemd machinectl". https://www.freedesktop.org/software/systemd/man/machinectl.html https://www.freedesktop.org/software/systemd/man/machinectl.... The man page suggests it's a superset or replacement of libvirt but according to other pages it's mostly used for containers (as you said).
