Are there any sociologists studying the current moral panic around gaming?

- brighteyes 11y agoProbably not, there wasn't much study of the D&D moral panic in the 80's at the time either. Academic interest comes much later, not in time to help. For example, Elizabeth Loftus [1] was pivotal in discrediting the "satanic abuse" panic of the 80's (which as other comments say was related to the D&D panic). But she did so a decade later.
