Why is VMWare and Beyond Compare listed as shareware? VMWare Player is free, but not Workstation. And I doubt Server is either (haven't looked). Beyond Compare is great, but it costs $30.
- ibsulon 17y agoServer is free. http://www.vmware.com/products/server/ http://www.vmware.com/products/server/ -- Mac vmware fusion still costs, though.
- mds 17y agoVMware Server (formerly GSX) is actually free as well.
- pkrumins 17y agoOh. I meant VMWare Workstation. (upading the post now.) And Beyond Compare is shareware, isn't it?
- thorax 17y ago$30 for as many machines as you own, work or personal, for your own individual use. Probably the best $30 I ever spent on software, given how many many times I use it per day.
- F_J_H 17y agoAnd what about Sun's VirtualBox? It's free and pretty good from what I hear.
