Well OK, in Germany, telling others, that something was disappointing is most of the times not only a subjective statement, but also a negative rating/non-recommendation. So if you wanna say, that things were not what one expected, one must say so explicitly, to make it clear, that this is not generalizable. Maybe that does make it more clear?
