Most of the big tech companies prey on ignorant users these days in the most insidious and pernicious ways for their profits - to a far greater extent than the seemingly innocent things like making a quick buck because someone doesn't know how to snap in a DIMM. EDIT: Nor any viable alternative in the same form factor.
