I recall that iOS did/does some tricks similar, especially when it came to sending texts (sms). The sending bar shows the same animation even if the text sends very quickly and would delay if it took longer than normally expected.
- corobo 11y agoI recall reading too that iOS effectively screenshots the app as you exit it and displays the screenshot while it kicks it back into memory on re-open.
