There is likely an efficient (in the economic sense of the word) level of CO2 emissions, but I doubt that anyone knows what it is. It's very difficult to price.

There is likely an efficient (in the economic sense of the word) level of CO2 emissions, but I doubt that anyone knows what it is. It's very difficult to price. However, I do agree with you that it's probably not zero.
The good news is that we have a proven carbon capture technology. Grow new forests.
- Nutmog 11y agoForests aren't sustainable unless you're also logging them and storing the wood permanently somewhere. They also consume valuable fertile land so it's not necessarily a worthwhile method. Perhaps in some post-oil economy they would become economical.
