- idbentley 11y agoYouTube works fine in Firefox. I use it all the time. It works well in mobile firefox as well.
- jhasse 11y agoI was affected by this bug for example: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=10877810 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=10877810
- ossreality 11y agoreally, you use Firefox and you use YouTube a lot? are there more people like you???
- coldtea 11y agoOutside of places like the us? Crappy streaming for starters.
- jhasse 11y agoHm ... works fine here in Germany.
- CaptSpify 11y agoAgreed. youtube is terrible on my FF compared to air.
- greggman 11y agoYoutube lets me watch at 1.5 to 2x speed.
- jholman 11y agoSo does all HTML5 video, it just doesn't show the controls. Here's my bookmarklet (doesn't work on embedded videos in iframes, I assume because of same-origin-policy) javascript:void%20function(){document.querySelector(%22video%22).playbackRate=parseFloat(prompt(%22Set%20the%20playback%20rate%22))}();
- masklinn 11y ago> So does all HTML5 video When there's the bandwidth to serve it, air often fails to load fast enough for 1x.
- jhasse 11y agoYouTube isn't the fastest here in Germany either. For example the Telekom (Germany's largest ISP) has bandwidth troubles with YouTube from time to time (because of some backbone bottleneck). I could only find a German blog post about this, but I have definitely experienced this myself: http://stadt-bremerhaven.de/telekom-aeussert-sich-zu-youtube-ladezeiten/ http://stadt-bremerhaven.de/telekom-aeussert-sich-zu-youtube...
