I heard that the car dealers won't allow car manufacturers to apply over-the-air updates (for example) because it breaks the agreement between dealers and manufacturers (all maintenance and service must go through dealers). I'm not sure if thats true but its pretty hilarious if it is.
- marssaxman 11y agoThat's... really reassuring, actually, because it means there will still be OTA-free vehicles available on the used market for years to come.
