I live in thailand as a US citizen I have a bank account here. You can have a bank account just about any country. You simply have to fill out a form "online" once a year if one of the accounts exceeds a certain amount of money. Not that big of a deal
- geomark 11y agoYes, I know. I also live in Thailand. I'm asking about Switzerland since that's the country mentioned in the parent comment. Swiss banks stopped providing services to US citizens due to FATCA. Same for Singapore. There may be other countries that have done the same.
