Honestly, I feel that everything in moderation is a good rule to follow. I spend a more than I perhaps should but I enjoy my life. As long as I am putting money away into savings each month and not going backwards I see it as a win. Going to extremes where you're worried about whether or not you put pieces of plain pizza in with mushroom pizza I feel is a bit too far for my liking.
