I am all for basic income, that being said... Unemployment is bad overall. Too much free-time and not enough money (basic income won't cover "fun") will have consequences regarding crime. Look at Sweden. Even with free healthcare, education and living costs covered the suburbs are filled with crime and radicalisation.
