That's why I don't randomly paste in code from SO. I do use it readily as a resource, but it's not my first port of call, and I always make sure I understand any code that I take from there. It's extremely useful for exposing you to points of view and ideas that you may not have considered, and I certainly wouldn't recommend that any developer skip it outright.
