- kelvin0 11y agoIs there anything resembling road-rage on the Internet? If so I am feeling it as I am reading this comment. Please help me.
- svantana 11y agoParallax is common enough, but the way the background adapted to the content of the article was really well done IMO.
- yoodenvranx 11y agoScrolling this article on my Motorola Moto G2 was an absolutely non-smooth experience.
- kdamken 11y agoYeah mobile and parallax are usually bad news bears. I'm surprised they didn't have a simpler version for it.
- Gracana 11y agoIt is terribad in IE11, the background lags behind and leaps ahead at 10Hz or so as I scroll. If I were seizure prone, I would be having one right now.
- noobermin 11y agoAre you being sarcastic? I ended up disabling javascript just to read that article.
- danso 11y agoI also loved it, and I'm not a big fan of parallax. But this story, for the first time, made me see how it could be kind of useful. The parallax sets the mood for each section...which is great for a story this long. Yes, you could do the same by breaking up the sections with a large header image...but given the tone of the story -- that is, of trying to describe a bizarro digital world -- the parallax worked incredibly well. Both on iPad and on the desktop.
