Does anyone have a good suggestion for the most civilization like game for iOS?

  Well, there is Civilization Revolution 2 for iOS which is a nice squares based remake of the series.

    It's really not the same. Research, city management, and combat are nowhere near the level of complexity a Civ game really needs to shine. Combat boils down to Civ 4-era "stacks of doom", only after the early game you need to build 3 of every unit to combine them into an army of that unit. From there, it's building the biggest stack of doom and ranking up units the highest.
