Cap it. Don't display numbers. Once someone is useful and helps the community on a regular basis just leave it at that. Ironically Slashdot actually did this.

Ironically Slashdot actually did this. Of course it had lots of other problems.
- jonlucc 11y agoThis was my first thought. The influence ought to follow a 4PL fit curve (not sure what the function is called). You're only trying to make sure the user is not terrible, you don't care once they've proven themselves worthy.
