Gluster is not for the faint of heart, but as far as distributed filesystems go it's probably the easiest to set up and deal with. We've been using it in production for a few years now and having a single namespace that can basically grow ad infinitum has been pretty neat. If you want a trouble free Gluster experience stay away from MANY small files and replicated volumes.
