It seems to me that in otherwise healthy people, they are able to deal with excess salt by getting rid of it, but when people have issues they are unable to do so as efficiently and that's when salt is bad.
- jobu 11y agoThere was one recent study that seemed to indicate exactly this, but I can't find it right now. As I recall they found that salt exacerbated inflammation related to hypertension, but found no difference in healthy individuals.
