One important thing to note in this "pick three features" strategy is that you can't please all of the people all of the time. There will always be people happy to chime in that they don't like some GMail feature or other but that doesn't take away from the product's successes. My dad chooses a generic USB MP3 player over the iPod but that doesn't say anything bad about the iPod.
