While he sounds reasonable, his assertions of superiority are tone-deaf and quite irritating. Sure he's been exposed to some obscene behavior and perhaps mentally unstable homeless people, but I don't think he has considered that there is undoubtedly thousands of otherwise normal people in very unfortunate circumstances that don't deserve to be lumped with "those people".
