- pascalmahe 11y agoNo: the accent is only dropped when it doesn't affect pronunciation. When it's used to differentiate between two words, otherwise spelled the same, it stays. And the reform was deigned 25 years ago, so there is no link between it and the desire to create a simpler keybord.
