No, not really. I did lots of interviews while working at Yahoo, and groups I worked in always made a hire-no hire decision within 24 hours of interviewing someone. Sometimes the lead up to an interview might stretch out, and sometimes salary negotiations might take a while, but we wouldn't have ever strung someone along for 6 weeks post-interview if we didn't intend to make an offer.
