From a game theoretic point of view, you can easily see why they raise this much much money. While I think it's obscene that 1 billion will be spent on the campaign of one candidate, this is necessarily a problem with the system rather than the actors within it.
- quadrangle 11y agoI didn't say anything about them raising money or not. Hillary could avoid the complete destruction of credibility by simply saying "of course, raising money this way creates biases, but that's the challenges of the system and here's how we're working to minimize the biases…" or something like that. It's precisely by denying any influence that her credibility is utterly erased.
