I don't understand this post. Smartphones give you access to the Internet at all times. They are not very well-suited to creation, but are fairly well-suited for communication and consumption. Either that's what you're looking for in a device, or it's not. It's quite clear that consumers want these devices, so what's the problem? I would never replace my computer with a smartphone, but that hardly seems to be a valid argument for why one shouldn't "like them". I don't get why this has so many points right now.
