  Wells Fargo will happily let me (but not force me to) take a highly-leveraged long position in the San Fransisco residential real estate market (in mid February 2016, arguably near the top of the market) which is a bet with ~comparable downside probability to divorce and ~similarly devastating payoff if things go south. Does that make Wells Fargo "clever predators?"
