I still don't know how to use the Internet without Google Reader :/
- sls 11y agohttps://theoldreader.com/ https://theoldreader.com/ works for me
- 19870213 11y agoOuch, automatic locale detection, and badly in need of a (proper) translator (for at least Dutch). And no way to switch language that I can find (wouldn't be the first time that was translated with ""). I'm currently using https://blogtrottr.com https://blogtrottr.com to get e-mail updates for RSS/Atom feeds.
- Gmo 11y agoHuh ? You can change the language (I'm in France and I have my theoldreader in English). You just need to click on your login at the top right and go to "Settings" (probably Instellingen in Dutch).
- 19870213 11y agoI don't have an account there. But I just figured out that using: https://theoldreader.com/?locale=en https://theoldreader.com/?locale=en will also get me English text. That enables me to properly evaluate it before signing up should I want to.
- ivank 11y agohttps://www.inoreader.com/ https://www.inoreader.com/ is a good replacement
- technojunkie 11y agoThis is as close to Google Reader as I've gotten with any of them. https://www.inoreader.com https://www.inoreader.com
- joosters 11y agoInoreader is fantastic! Works great on the web or in an app.
- dingo_bat 11y agoThe app is nowhere close in polish to the google reader app, but I make do :'(
- technojunkie 11y agoConsidering all the rest of the Reader clones that have popped up, I think this one comes as close to Google Reader as they get.
- crazysim 11y agonewsblur is one of those open source yet hosted options that is a really good replacement
- Arkaad 11y agoWhat about The Old Reader? https://theoldreader.com/ https://theoldreader.com/ It's very similar to Google Reader, with the same UI.
- brodock 11y agoFeedly works fine
