- grubles 11y agoAgreed. And it's fun running it on a box with 32+ cores.
- NickSharp 11y agoIs there a quick way to avoid having all those cores take up the top 32 lines of the screen? Checking my 40 core machine in a typical terminal window, I can't see any of the processes, just 40 lines of CPU! Thanks.
- NocturnalWaffle 11y agoIf you press F2 you can change the setup for the top meters and switch it out with CPU average or other combinations of cores.
- Piskvorrr 11y ago...or if you're not the interactive type (or deploy untold millions of images), edit .htoprc . Hm. Given the opacity of that config file, I went the way "configure interactively, then roll out the new .htoprc"
- hisham_hm 11y agoReally? Recent versions shouldn't take more than 10 lines for 40 cores. It displays them in 4 columns.
- broodbucket 11y agoWith 320 cores you can't see anything.
- akerro 11y agoHmm... and I use it on a 32bit netbook...
- broodbucket 11y agoHehe, I once tested a MPI program intended for a supercomputer on my 2-core ARM chromebook. It ran. It was not very fast.
- twothamendment 11y agoYes, it is hard top something called top, but htop does! It is a must have.
