Remember when people on the internet werent pushed towards using real names? Gender bias didn't exist because only people you told knew your gender. Such gay times they were!

- jacalata 11y agoIt was so awesome when you were fine if you either were male or knew enough to pretend to be male!
- Sir_Substance 11y agoIf that was how it was for you, you were hanging out in a pretty crummy part of the internet, which is really sad considering how easy it is to find a different part. You missed out on some quality times.
- jacalata 11y agoThat is a completely different argument to the one you made originally - "some parts of the internet weren't sexist" vs "people weren't sexist because they couldn't figure out your gender" (which is the one I disagreed with")
- anigbrowl 11y agoGender bias didn't exist Yes, I do remember that (having been using the internet several years before there was any such thing as a web browser), and I dispute your claim, albeit on the purely anecdotal basis of spending years on Usenet.
- assocguilt 11y agoCan you just give me some closure on our thread please by admitting you're wrong? Thanks.
