question about this: if i send mail to my IMAP or POP server over TLS, it may still travel to various spots on the journey to its final destination unencrypted using SMTP, right?
- jcoffland 11y agoIt's what the email server that you are making the IMAP or POP connection to does next that matters. If you send mail to a Gmail account it should make a TLS connection to Google's servers directly.
