Personally, I can't afford a house in the valley, and the new brackets would cost me an additional $10-15k/yr, putting home ownership out of reach for a long time. In fact, the additional $10-15k/yr would put me close to not being able to afford my rent. That's even before looking at the change to capital gains, which would tax them at the marginal rate.
