Ah great pointer. Interesting digression in there about limits of applying these techniques to Javascript - in short, isn't done by current implementations of the language (not sure which engines the author has looked at) but nothing about the spec forbids it with regards to strict-mode code. (Does anyone write non-strict JS these days? Why?)
