Exactly the same for me. This is how I got interested in programming. The fun part is that many of the people I met on the runescape private server forums 10 years ago I still talk to daily. Complaining about college and our day jobs in IRC. We all have the same history and all sort of ended up in the same place. Big chance that I still know you as well if I know your old nickname. Especially the programmer community was pretty cozy.
