One thing I'm learning on a similar adventure is that either you make money or you don't make a penny. Breaking that "first paying customers" barrier is difficult. Don't get discouraged when you show your project and no one pays attention, because that's what's going to happen and that's when you will really have to work hard for your dreams. Programming is easy. Keeping your morale high is extremely difficult.
