I wasn't commenting on the effectiveness of remote work. My point was that it's reasonable to ask more from senior management. I'm sensing righteous indignation in your comment and a lot of the other comments. It's missplaced. Remote vs. in-office work is not a right vs. wrong battle. I work 100% remotely and sometimes I wish I was in the office. Every company, employee, situation, etc. is different. It should be up to Github and its employees to decide what is right for their particular situation.
