Remittance is still one the biggest unsolved problem according to me. I could consider cryptocurrency as the ultimate solution but online if everywhere its being used in equal importance and liquidity. For more traditional money, banks are squeezing fees & spreads out of regular people. Companies like TransferWise are trying to resolve some of these problems but still they rely on the existing banking system to move the funds around. So there you go - open problem!
