I wonder if you could just place a tax on premium gas, the type that fancy cars take - so that it minimises any potential affect on low-income households.
- Sanddancer 11y agoThat would be counterproductive. A lot of the more efficient engines require premium too because they use the higher compression to get decent performance out of a smaller package. So it would end up discouraging people to get more environmentally friendly engines.
