Why doesn't the legal system immediately dismiss such lawsuits by the patent trolls? It is obvious what they're after.

- notacoward 11y agoBecause courts adjudicate laws, and it's the laws that are broken. The alternative would be courts that just make up their own versions of the law, which has its own problems. Among those is the tendency for patent trolls (or their equivalents in other kinds of cases) bringing suit in whichever jurisdiction is friendliest to them, and there's entirely too much of that going on in East Texas already.
