While this is great (although very late) it's biggest issue is that I have to implement this and another service if I care about the other credit card companies. Merchants would be fools to just accept Visa.
- Kinnard 11y agoThat's why Bitcoin's great! It's an electronic payment system, and the underlying currency.
- BHSPitMonkey 11y agoPerhaps this makes it slightly easier to compete with Stripe or Square in providing an all-in-one service.
- TranquilMarmot 11y agoFrom their "Things to Know" page[1]: "Visa Checkout currently supports Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover" So it seems like they're trying to position themselves as a sort of Square competitor? - dlubarov 11y agoFYI this isn't anything new. The networks (at least Visa and MC) have been routing payments to other networks for years, so that their customers don't need a separate integration with each network (or to use a middleman processor who has integrated with each network).
