A compsci student at the University of Alberta wrote a web app https://bearscat.su.ualberta.ca/ https://bearscat.su.ualberta.ca/ that scrapes the U of A's WebCT install and can drive WebCT's UI in the background to do basic registration stuff. It's infinitely more usable.
For some reason the university administration seems to resent the fact that it exists.
- bct 19y agooops, I was confused - I was thinking of PeopleSoft rather than WebCT. As bad as WebCT is, PeopleSoft is far worse.
