The markdown-to-pdf resume toolchain I'm currently using is: (1) Render with https://github.com/joeyespo/grip https://github.com/joeyespo/grip (with a few minor CSS tweaks) (2) "Print" to PDF with Chrome The documents it produces are quite sober, but I find it works very well.
