I have 4 years of IRC logs in about 4 GB of uncompressed text. YMMV but IRC is not bandwidth or disk-intensive.

- duaneb 11y agoSure. It would also be a pretty shitty server if it crashed because nobody had the forethought to realize history uses memory. 4GB of memory will always be enough....
