I use JavaScript to develop web applications in the financial sector. The runtime is a rusty bucket held together with duct tape, the language is dangerous and awkward to work with, and the ecosystem is utterly schizophrenic. Still, the money is good, so why not?

    try typescript, if you haven't already, its very nice. Doesn't help with the browser part unfortunately, but at least gets rid of the javascript oddities.

        Neither of those offer types; sounds more like a halfway house than true freedom from the JavaScript state penitentiary.
