I have found Caddy (https://caddyserver.com https://caddyserver.com) really helpful in this regard. By default it grabs a Let's Encrypt cert and serves your site over HTTPS (oh and it handles renewals too.)
Caddy + LetsEncrypt = easy https everywhere :D
